Looking Ahead `` to 2008
Between 1930 through the 70's paper tape was the form of storage for Message Traffic. Message traffic today is very much like Electronic Mail (E-Mail) today!
ITA2 was a 5 hole punch or dot tape in the mid 60'. ITA2 was replaced with ASCII in the mid 60' Today paper tape is only history but ASCII code is still used today. With ASCII, paper tape became to be an 8 hold punch.
